The Boss is still rockin. Bruce is still a dick.

Bruce Springsteen’s 2005 album, Devils and Dust, really has some title track lyrics that hit home.

“Fear’s a powerful thing,

It can turn your heart black you can trust,

It’ll take your God filled soul

And fill it with devils and dust.”

And this year, he might as well have been a faculty member at Missouri Southern:

“Where are the eyes, the eyes with the will to see? Where are the hearts that run over with mercy? Where’s the love that has not forsaken me? Where’s the work that set my hands, my soul free? Where’s the spirits that will reign reign over me?”

“Nebraska” was one of The Boss’s most dark and moving albums. Suggest listening to the lyrics of these songs. Moving, on the road lyrics about a desperate man. Hey Bruce( Speck), the capacity for self-denial is infinite.
