You have to be fucking kidding

I was the best choice available.

If I kiss Bruce’s ass, can a family member get a job?

And how sneaky can you be about it?

We mean, Jesus Christ a Go-Go, talk about nepotism. Did you guys know JoAnn Graffam’s husband got a nice little Missouri Southern job? Did you know he got it at the expense of a former assistant women’s basketball coach? Did you know that the 2011-2012 media guide link is broken? Did you know that no press release was issued and you have to really dig to find it on the MSSU athletics website?

Hey, LL Cool J Buzzcut, we noticed.

You are such a transparent dickhead. Too bad you are trying to be sneaky. Here is how you find the bio of Jim Hollis, er, Graffam. You go to http://www.mssulions.com/landing/index. Then you hover over women’s sports. Then you click on basketball. Then you select coaches. Only head coach MaryAnn Mitts comes up. Look closely. There is a “related bios” dropdown to the right. Select Jim Graffam.

And here we go.

The bio is very well slanted. But the fun part is the last ‘graph:

A native of Maine, Graffam graduated from the University of Southern Maine where he ran cross country, lettered in basketball and captained the baseball team. He is married to Joplin native JoAnn Hollis and has a daughter, Angela and a son, Matthew.

What isn’t said, as usual, is reality. Graffam is married to Presidunce Council member and MSSU VP JoAnn Hollis-GRAFFAM.

Was there a search? Did Mitts get a say?

When Speck got here, he said he didn’t like the perceived nepotism. Well, what do you know. Everything old is new again.

  1. Kate says:

Hey I have a family member working at MSSU and I’ve watched a hockey game or two–can I have a job? That would help make up for no pay adjustments/sucky insurance changes.

  2. Tacky says:

    Are they twins?

  3. SNAFU says:

Is Speck’s daughter still at MSSU?
